Our Team
A multidisciplinary team of specialists driving enterprise development, monitoring & evaluation, cooperative strengthening, and digital transformation across East Africa.
Peter is an experienced Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Specialist, Agribusiness Development Expert, and Enterprise Development Consultant with over 10 years of progressive experience supporting governments, development partners, NGOs, and private sector organizations across East Africa.
As a Technical Expert supporting Agro Pastoral Integrated Development (APID), Peter contributes to programme development, proposal writing, M&E system design, climate adaptation, livelihoods recovery, food security assessments, and organizational capacity strengthening. He possesses extensive experience in aquaculture, dairy, rabbitry, fisheries, horticulture, livestock commercialization, food systems, and climate-smart agriculture. His work includes supporting IFAD-funded ABDP, Kenya Livestock Commercialization Project (KeLCoP), Upper Tana Natural Resources Management Project (UTaNRMP), and several resilience-building initiatives in Kenya's ASAL counties.
Susan is a Business Development Services (BDS) and enterprise training specialist with over 12 years of experience designing, coordinating, and delivering capacity-building programs for cooperatives, MSMEs, women, and youth across East Africa. Certified as an ILO SIYB Master Trainer and IFC Blended BDS Coach, she has a practical track record in strengthening agricultural value chains and climate-smart service models.
Her project experience includes SNV (CRAFT Project), GIZ (African Biodigester Component), ACDI/VOCA – USAID (Wajir County), FAD & Ministry of Blue Economy, and Cordaid. She was Program Coordinator at MESPT (DMDP Banana Programme) and BDS Coordinator at KCB Foundation for livestock cooperatives. As Founder of Kyanika Agri-Ventures Limited, she manages a retail and wholesale enterprise specializing in honey sourcing and agricultural distribution. Her core competencies span cooperative governance, financial structuring, climate-smart agriculture, and green financing for SACCOs.
Nancy is a Business Development, Entrepreneurship and Investment Readiness specialist with over a decade of experience building and scaling impact-driven enterprises across Kenya and the wider East African region. She currently serves as Consultant Regional Coordinator for Sub-Saharan Africa on the International Trade Centre (ITC) SheTrades & Visa Project.
Her core strength lies in turning early- and growth-stage MSMEs, women- and youth-led businesses, into bankable, investment-ready ventures through targeted coaching in financial modelling, business planning, operational restructuring and due-diligence preparedness. Across engagements with ITC, ILO, IFC, Graça Machel Trust, Equity Group Foundation, KCIC, KCB Foundation and MSEA, Nancy has supported over 500 entrepreneurs. She is a certified ILO-SIYB Master Trainer, EU-EAC MARKUP II Master Trainer, IFC-certified Blended BDS Coach, and ILO GET Ahead trainer, with a consistent focus on women's economic empowerment.
Grace is a certified ILO SIYB and Digitalize Your Business (DYB) Trainer, IFC Facilitation Skills Trainer, and Microsoft Women in Digital Business Trainer. She brings strong capacity in community group mobilisation, programme coordination, Business Development Services, stakeholder engagement and enterprise support, with a practical understanding of working with youth, women, farmers, and pastoralist communities.
As Organising Secretary for APID, Grace combines BDS expertise with grassroots mobilisation to help strengthen community networks, coordinate activities, support partnerships, and document results. She is experienced in coordinating training programmes, workshops, stakeholder meetings, and field activities; developing training materials; supervising field teams and mentors; collecting and analysing programme data; maintaining records; and preparing technical and donor reports. Passionate about climate-smart livelihoods, environmental conservation, and inclusive economic opportunities for youth and women, she ensures that programme objectives translate into practical benefits for pastoralist and agro-pastoralist communities.
Goodness is a Business Development Services (BDS) Specialist, Trainer, Mentor and Coach with a strong background in business management, banking and finance, enterprise development, programme management and capacity building. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management (Banking and Finance) from Moi University.
As Treasurer, Goodness supports budget preparation and monitoring, financial record keeping, expenditure tracking, financial reporting, resource mobilisation, and compliance with organisational policies. She has successfully supported programmes funded by FAO, WFP, Aquaculture Business Development Programme (ABDP), and NYOTA Project — gaining practical experience in programme coordination, proposal development, M&E, stakeholder engagement, and technical reporting. She is committed to promoting financial transparency, accountability, prudent resource utilisation, and sustainable organisational growth, while supporting initiatives that improve livelihoods and create inclusive economic opportunities for communities, women and youth.
Dennis bridges APID's community-facing programs with the digital and institutional infrastructure needed to scale across the rangelands. He coordinates APID's interface with the County Government of Kajiado and leads the design of mobile-friendly digital systems for transparency and accountability across all nine core programs.
Leveraging his experience with the ICT Authority of Kenya's NOFBI project and prior work as an ICT Attaché with the County Government of Samburu, Dennis has mapped connectivity gaps across APID's program sites and deployed offline-first systems for remote grazing corridors — ensuring savings groups and demonstration farm managers can maintain consistent records without interruption. He is actively involved in youth group mobilisation and agro-enterprise training, where he trains young pastoralists in digital literacy, mobile market linkages, and online platforms for livestock trade. Fluent in Maa, Samburu, English and Swahili, he facilitates cooperative governance and investment readiness sessions. He also structures audit-ready documentation for donors and ensures every digital solution serves APID's mission of community-owned enterprise.
